Deep-throat sources have revealed to us that the alleged bribe of $100,000, a V8 cross
country vehicle and a mansion for the immediate past Moderator of the Presbyterian church, Prof. Emmanuel Martey was disguised as a birthday gift.
The outspoken man of God born on July 22, 1949 claimed he rejected a $100,000 bribe plus a 4×4 wheel drive from an unnamed politician who also promised him a house at
Trassaco village complete with a
swimming pool, if he would tone
down on his political commentary. Our sources
indicate that the car and the stated amount was indeed sent to Prof. Emmanuel Martey which coincided with the period for his birthday but disguised as a present for that purpose. Subsequently, a message
sent a day after the donation
revealing the real intent of the gift, prompted him to return the car and cash. “They never made known to him the real intent of the gift. It was presented to him as though it was a birthday present but after the real
rationale behind the gift was
uncovered, he returned it” The source indicated that the
unnamed politician who engineered the bribe, thanked him for accepting the initial cash and car but ask him (Prof. Emmanuel Martey) when he
will be ready to inspect the supposed mansion at the plush Trassaco village. It was at this point it dawned on him the gift was not a birthday present but an attempt to gag him from making certain public pronouncements about the political party the donor is a key member of.
Prof. Emmanuel Martey on Tuesday claimed he nearly unleash his dogs on some politicians who tried
influencing his commentary stating that the Presbyterian Church does not belong to any political party.
