NDC will win 2016 elections - Ben Ephson

LATEST information available to
The Al-Hajj indicates that the
National Democratic Congress has once again been highly projected in an opinion survey conducted by renowned pollster, Ben Ephson Jnr to secure a resounding first round victory in the December 7 general      elections. The report by the celebrated Ghanaian pollster who is also the Managing Editor for the Daily Dispatch, which is set to be released this week, paints a
positive picture of the prospects of President John Dramani Mahama holding majority of the total vote cast in lock-and- key to secure a resounding victory in the first round of the presidential elections scheduled for Friday.
Mr. Ephson last week released
results of polls from 237 out of the 275 constituencies which showed the NDC winning 123 seats and the NPP securing 113 seats with an independent candidate from Bunprugu Yonyon constituency making it to the august house of
parliament next year. This ostensibly means that; with all
things been equal, the NDC is likely to remain the party with majority seats in the next parliament whiles the NPP will continue to play its minority role.
Ben Ephson, last Friday on many of the electronic networks made an emphatic statement to the effect that the December 7 election will be won in the first round. These findings by Ben Ephson, thus
c orroborates recent opinion poll
findings by other independent
research outfits like Synovate
Ghana; London based Economic
Intelligence Unit and the Bureau of National Investigation, which has predicted that the President John Mahama will upstage his close opponent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party in the first round.

‘Only sinners launch manifesto on Sunday’ - Koku Anyidoho

Deputy General Secretary of National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has described the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) as ‘Antichrist” for launching its party
manifesto on a Sunday.
According to him, the move will
prevent many Christians who are
members of the party from going to church to worship God. Koku Anyidoho, who made the comment while addressing party
supporters at Ashaiman, claimed, the opposition party is championing the work of the devil for choosing Sunday
for its manifesto launch. Supporters of the NPP have thronged the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre for the launch of the party’s manifesto ahead of the December  Ahead of the launch, a closed door
stakeholder briefing of the manifesto to Civil Society and Identifiable Groups, Embassies and Diplomatic Missions and Political Parties took place at the Unique Events Palace, to be followed by a rally attended by
thousands of party faithful.
Former President John Agyekum
Kufuor is expected to chair the
function which would be attended by founding fathers of the party and former Ministers.
But Koku Anyidoho maintained that only sinners would choose a holy day like Sunday to present its manifesto to the citizenry.
“They are going to Trade fair to sin. The party has nothing better in their manifesto. That manifesto is the devil’s manifesto," he reiterated.

Crucify me if Nana Addo doe sn’t become president

The Head Pastor of New Era Church, Pastor Edmond, has dared Ghanaians to subject him to an actual crucifixion should Nana Akufo Addo fail to win this years’ presidential elections. In a sermon to his congregants and
some members of the New Patriotic Party who attended his crusade last Sunday, Pastor Edmond revealed that he had received a prophecy from the Lord concerning Ghana’s next presidential leader.According to him, the Lord had made it clear to him that Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP would be occupying the seat of government after the 2016 polls and nothing could stop it from coming to pass.
To demonstrate how serious he was about his vision, he challenged Ghanaians to crucify him should Nana Addo fail to become the number one gentleman of the land. He also revealed that very soon, he would come out to expose some
eighteen members of the NPP who are working tirelessly for the NDC to destroy Nana Addo’s presidential ambition. Pastor Edmond further warned Ghanaians not to vote for the NDC since it is a party that believes in a lesser god named
‘Samba.

Samini condemns celebrities endorsing politicians

Afro dancehall artiste, Samini has
taken a swipe at celebrities who have been endorsing politicians and political parties ahead of the 2016 general elections. Several celebrities have joined the
political fray by endorsing the
candidature of certain aspirants.
Others have gone ahead to campaign for their chosen candidates while others are also making songs that they believe can help sway the attention of voters in their favour. These endorsements, the dancehall
artiste speaking to Joy News' ‘Let’s Talk Entertainment’ Becky said were wrong.

“Personally, I don’t think it’s not too healthy to do that…when you take sides in serious issues like this…and you happen to offend a huge fan by that move, it goes a long way to affect your career going forward…,” he said. To the multi-award winning artiste, it
would be very difficult for celebrities who endorse certain political parties to condemn politicians when they breach
their contracts with the electorates.
